Sounds like self-defense, at worst he would eat a gun charge if he was carrying unlawfully.
But no one he gets hit with a murder charge when the other guy threw the first punch.
Them cacs are going to have him doing time. This is the same NYC where something like 60% of its inmates are being arrested and held without being charged

He is going to be charged with murder. Even if he was in a stand your ground state, he would still eat a murder charge.
He shot dude, dude ran and then he chased him and executed him.
