Basketball is a team sport, the teams defense was way better his rookie year than it was last year and this year, which is why he looked better then, also he looked better last year in the playoffs then regular season because we played better D. Our TEAM defense regressed and our TEAM defense is inconsistent.

Honestly, my question is only about the lay ups. Whether Ray is old or Shump got potential means nothing when it comes to finishing a lay up. I cringe less on a Ray lay up than a Shump lay up. I cringe less on a Ray FLOATER than a Shump lay up. What's the level of promise he's shown flashes of? Realistically, what player comparison past or present do you see him becoming?
