The ball wasn't moving in the first half...or rather, it wasn't moving with a purpose. That first half was the basketball equivalent of "chicken with it's head cut off" on both sides of the court. There were literally no sets run offensively...just the ball going around the perimeter and ending up in Melo's hands. Defensively, it seemed like they got worse defensively. And Woody's first substitution when he saw the defense was going bad was pulling Shumpert. His second was subbing out K Mart and putting in STAT.
I think Woody might have become an idiot brehs

If melo passed the ball more than he has we would be 0-13

Yup. Dude has stepped up his game tremendously and is averaging 20 and 10. When is someone else gonna step their game up? :stopitslime:

And fukk you Amare. Melo came here to play with your garbage ass, he's put the team on his back while you were constantly getting your knees blown out and stealing money from the team. You still haven't held up your end of the deal so stop whining, collect your 20 million and shut the fukk up. :stopitslime:

Stat has it all wrong.

Ball movement? The Knicks had 24 assists on 38 made fg's. So over 60% of your FG's came from ball movement. Stat needs to touch on the fact that he's arguably the worst defensive big man since himself. This guy wouldn't know defense if they gave him Hakeem's brain, Mourning's presence down low with Mutumbo's finger wave. He's the one that consistently refuse to help out in the paint when a guard penetrates, he refuses to bang down low for 2nd chance points, he's the one that would get beat off the dribble by a guy like Tyler Hansborough. Knicks have a locker room full of players that believe they are the answer to the offense, but they damn sure are the problem to our defense. You can win in this league scoring 90 pts, but you cannot consistently give up 100 pts. Woodson never really put these players in check, you still have an erratic player in Smith, No true point guard play, guards getting consistently beat off the dribble including Iman, no one is rebounding efficiently outside Anthony, no one is defending the paint outside Kenyon and on a few occasions Bargnani. These players have to understand that there are other things they can bring to the team without the ball in their hands.

Hard to step up your game (on offense) when you don't have the ball,. Good ball movement creates better open shots for other players and more efficient offense. Melo taking 20 footers with a hand in his face shouldn't be the best option available. But this is what happens when you resign JR and pick up Metta and Bargs instead of players who can get to the line or help improve the ball movement.

When you can't finish at the rim or are constantly missing open jumpers, at some point, the ball is going to stop coming to you.

As a lot of others have already stated, the Knicks don't have any offensive sets. That falls on the coach. Not too mention, NOBODY on this team moves without the ball in order for them to get to a spot where they can easily score, or draw the defense away from the player who is going into their move. That's basketball 101, brehs, the Knicks aren't using their brains.

And again, our defense is the MAIN problem, and that falls on all of them. How many times has Stat been caught guarding the invisible man.

I'm really disappointed in Stat, he's old enough to know that you don't need this type of commotion added on when the team is struggling.

:whoa:

He is not "stealing" anything....

It's a well known thing that dude is a hard worker and his knee issues are completely out of his hands.

The Knicks organization offered him X amount of money and he accepted it, that's all.

A 100 milli? :banderas:

I know you would accept too... :smugbiden:

I don't disagree with anything in this post. Woodson is a big problem, though I don't know what coach would replace him.
