knicks need to try and get a good/great coach. Woodson was an Ok coach strategically who arguably best quality was that he was an authoritarian who players could relate too. He never was good offensively and his defensives strategy of switching is at its core flawed unless you have a good team of defenders.

Now he's lost his authoritarianism the moment he let JR do whatever (i hear on the grapevine he promised JR a starter role if he became 6th man to motivate him not thinking JR would ever fukking get it.....), He's fukking up on simple shyt like calling timeouts to marshal his troops, and his switching defensive strategy is being exposed without Tyson there to carry the majority of the load.

Once again I'm not one to go out there and say fire a black coach arbitrarily because it sets a bad precedent..... but Woodson needs to step his game up a lot when Tyson comes back. Tyson should have the defense working again.... but that isn't going to smooth over the glut at SG (aka sit JR) or help figure out a way for more points per game can be found from the bench.... because the knicks bench isn't scrubs they are veterans who should be able to play better.

They ask Mike Woodson if Chris Smith could see action because the lack of PG depth? He said it was a possibility :snoop:
And Chris Smith will be the human "victory" cigar to his tenure as Knicks coach. Get em outta here, throw Allan Houston to the wolves next. At least he'll just be moved back to his assistant GM position if he flops. Dolan loves that dude.
