Thoughts on this; if Melo makes it clear to Dolan before the deadline that he doesn't wanna sign an extension or everyone ultimately feels he isn't worth the $30 mil/yr he's gonna command by opting out, this trade with LA (and they include their 2014 1st rounder).

Logic from NY: at 16.5 mil per, Blake is a good building block going forward, under control and cheap. At worst, he'll put asses in seats. At best, he'll continue to improve his game and we have something. DeAndre, while not an offensive dynamo is a shot blocker and a good defender and again, cheap and under control. Crawford and Dudley are relatively cheap and not that long of deals. Good role players and fillers on the roster.

Logic from LAC: Melo, CP3 and Chandler wanted to play together in NY right? Why not give them that luxury in LA? Chandler is from LA so there's no gripes about moving him and Melo has already mentioned the Clippers as one of the team's he's interested in. More importantly; with Doc Rivers as the coach, they are in an absolute win-now mode for the title. This gives them at least a solid 2 year window with a line up of CP3-Reddikk-Barnes-Melo-Chandler. Felton backs up CP3 and fills in for him now in the interim while he's out.

I can't see myself putting trust in Blake Griffin.

I hate that "put asses in the seats" logic. As long as we have a good team, people will go to MSG. We don't need wack ass Blake Griffin to get people to come see the game. Knicks aren't a second rate team in a big city like the Clippers were when they needed him.

And hell no, i don't want Blake & definitely don't want DeAndre Jordan. Here they'd be the Clippers minus the PG that is their engine. We'd hate them all sooner than later. Clippers wouldn't trade them all in one shot anyway.

The Knicks just don't match up with Indiana well. Combine that with the fact that the Knicks aren't good and Indiana is damn near unstoppable at home and you have a 28 point blowout.

Oh well just keep it moving, regroup and and get back to winning games. :yeshrug:

I do think we should trade Melo though. :youngsabo:

:patrice: :ehh: I don't wanna trade Melo but if it happened this is the kinda deal I'd want in return. Yall sleeping on Blake. This deal is a slight rape of the Clippers.

Chandler should be trying to build his strength back up not getting starting minutes and contributing to losing games

:what:

We are actually pretty loyal to our players and team. We try to have honest opinions though. The opinions just vary.

What would Blake do to improve our squad?
