Season 7 was smallville status(even though the first 2 episodes and the bobby themed episode was some of the best supernatural has ever done)

IF Supernatural would just stop doing season long story arcs and just focus on Monster of the Week stuff then the show would be awesome. Because the last time their season long story was any good was Season 5 but they still put out top notch Monster of the Week episodes.
That one ep this season with the imaginary friends getting murdered was great.

First off I thought this was understood, I didn't know this was even a question.

Second in my opinion I don't think Supernatural has had a bad season. People point to season 6 and 7 as being bad but they're not. The issue is coming off Lucifer and the Apocalypse the threats were lower level, which disappointed some people. Actually watching the episodes none of them were terrible and a lot of them were great but the threat wasn't as big so people checked out. That's just my opinion.
