If I go into a restaurant and they mistreat me and refuse to serve me and I complain about bad service and then they point to the dog shyt on my shoe I can't ignore the dog shyt on my shoe and hope they overlook it.

The videos that Tariq has on Youtube are infotainment. No different than Bill O'reilly or all that other shyt on Fox "News" that condenses complex issues down into bitesized treats to feed the hungry, dumb masses. Combating institutional oppression has to be done on an individual level FIRST. People reading about this countries history. Understanding the basics of how people are socialized, and how trauma is past down from generation to generation. Blaming white supremacy, I feel, is an emotional reaction to the injustices that we face on a daily basis. Which is understandable, but its not something you use as the foundation of an entire movement. And Tariq knows that.

I think if you cut off the supply of illegal guns off the streets you'd see a curb maybe but not by much.
And in Chicago's case it isn't as easy when
1) Indiana having very loose gun laws is basically next door and then the surrounding suburban areas of Chicago (Will county for example) it's not as hard to get guns either.
2) Street gangs have a history of raiding warehouses and military armories and in some case gaining access to Police stations redistributing previously confiscated guns.
3) The Chicago PD themselves have had instances where officers were working with gangs supplying them with guns in exchange for favors.
It's an uphill battle in a sense.

This thread is some bullshyt. If young black men could get decent jobs to take care of their families (not that $10 a hour bullshyt) black on black crime would drop dramatically. The fact that u think a "stop the violence" movement would be anything more than a colossal waste of time says it all.

Thing is, there are programs out here to help black men get certifications. Whether they're taking advantage of it is another issue. I understand your point about working a $10 an hour job but what's stopping someone from getting a security job then their gun card to work for an armored truck company? I'm just using that as an example.
I was talking to an older cat earlier who was telling me how he tries to encourage young brehs to do trucking to make money, some of them listen and grind that first year and some are scared to take that jump.
