Thinking about copping one for the wife.. Post that review when you get a chance @

a couple of quick thoughts in about the two days i had :
-its extremely light I've said it before its SLIGHTLY heavier than my nexus , its the lightest laptop ive ever used, this is a good thing usually when am home i use my laptop on my lap , pause, so this important to me. Even though its light has a very solid feel to it
- its quite as fuk , my other laptop is pretty solid on this department too for about hour after that u can hear the fan if your playing movies and got tabs open its very noticeable, on the Air this thing don't make a sound no matter how much shyt open
- apps open up fast , i have office on it, and i opened both a excel and a word file at the same time,Air is quicker, again i don't have a slouch of windows laptop neither , chrome on my windows opens quicker though, i haven't used safari yet that could be it , but it could also be that my wireless is slow, i have a slow connection and we got two phones , two laptops and a roku connected all at the same time here
- some of the best speakers ive heard, this is disappoint to me because i have a beats laptop that has extra subs/speakers and the beats audio software , and the mac air for now comes out crisper and louder, but again that could be cause i ve tweaked my beats laptop a lot too
- i am a complete rookie to IOS, only apple device i owned years again between android phones was iphone 3GS, and that is only "intimidating" thing about this laptop to me , yea IOS seems simple enough but if never used it before and are coming from windows it does have a slight learning curve to it , i haven't downloaded any apps yet so cant speak on how that works
- the display is good ,my windows has a 1368 x 768 display this a 1440 x900, both are 13in screens, i opened up a ran 1080p videos on both them , load times were exactly for the same but the mac had clearer picture and view at all angles
** edit** the keyboard is back-lit also like my windows laptop, it works fine , may just be me but the track pad on the Air feels kind of funky cant explain it, and am good with trackpads, i use mouse at my work computers,
So for now overall, Ill say this if your girl is already in the IOS system, and you have the money, go for it . If she is not in the IOS system she really doesn't "need" a $1,300 laptop you could get her a laptop like my windows one + a nice tablet and still have change . So that's up for you to decide, if all she gonna do is listen to music, chat and browse the net, she don't need nothing this strong
I really didnt need a laptop being as i I have already have a good one and a old chromebook but at this price i know its a good investment if i ever need to usell it in the future or if i decided to be more invovled in the mac os , only had it for bout 48 hours so far its been able to handle anything ive thrown it , going to try messing games and imovies next
