hell tf no they're not. when they do a lil review of a movie or give there opinions of it they dont go into full on detail about every little fukking thing (especially when it comes to something like action flicks) and try to digest every movie like every film is supposed to be looking for a oscar nomination or some shyt......the true snobs will go into a movie like purge anarchy and give a full paragraph about how the whole premise of the movie is dumb before they even talk about the damn thing. Or how a true shoot em up like john wick "lacks in story"

I think there's something to be said for being able to take a flick on face value and determine if it accomplishes what it sets out to do. John Wick isn't trying to do the same thing as Selma but they can both be good movies. But someone saying John Wick is good but Selma isn't (it's dope af by the way) doesn't have a transitive property

Anyone can see that Duvernay's direction in Selma is too abysmal to leave any real impact, forcing the film to rely completely on the content of its story for any semblance of an emotional core.
