To qualify as a franchise there must be at least 3 movies released.
Remakes of movies can be counted as part of the franchise.
Must be horror flicks. Duh.

Still never seen the Hellraiser movies despite the fact it's referenced in "Scream". The only "Living Dead" film I've seen is the 2004 "Dawn of the Dead" remake directed by Zack Snyder, written by James Gunn. I don't even know what the hell the "Phantasm" series is.
Seen all the movies in those other film series in your top 10 though.
