Who has the better low post arsenal?

They're basically even in terms of points per post up, Embiid posts up 10% more than KAT does. In terms of who has the better moves, it's Embiid, he has such a wide array of moves & counters that he sometimes doesn't know what to do. He does have to get stronger though, his lower body strength is so-so while KAT seems to be stronger. KAT has the better hook shot, for whatever reason Embiid doesn't take it as much even though he's almost as accurate with it.

For the most part Embiid can't post up as much as he should, even though he's among the league leaders in terms of frequency in posting up. They don't have the talent to just dump the ball into him, he gets hard doubles in the post a lot if it's just a straight post up.

Towns is more polished and has more moves/counters but Embiid is a fukking Borg. Dude absorbs, assimilates, and replicates new moves that he sees on a game by game basis.

Embiid prefers working from the high post and facing up while using his size, shooting, and athletic gifts to get his shot off.

The way I see it, Embiid has a simpler post game, he'll just read and react to what they're doing and its effective. More YMCA old man type moves.

Towns has more moves, but they aren't as effective sometimes because he's not necessarily taking what the defense is giving him. He also just doesn't seem to post up as often, a lot of the times he'll face up, cross you over and take it straight to the rim or jabstep pull

You think Embiid has more moves than Towns? I see Towns use more moves to get his shots off (Mostly because he isn't 7'2) and he seems far better at using his footwork to establish position. I see him getting his shots off in fewer dribbles or more efficient moves which is why I say he's more polished.

I don't see him doing a lot with his back to the basket, a lot of it is face up spins, and when he does back down he uses that chicken wing to get off his hook, and the refs almost never call it. I just see more from Embiid, especially in the way of counters, his moves have more purpose and he's not doing them just to do them. Towns has better lower body strength and gets into position better, but Embiid is starting to get better at using his body in mismatches.

It's hard to compare their post games to be honest, Towns plays with the better talent around him.
