I don't agree wit him and gates but I understand they point of view. They lived a very street life and have a real street mental. They whole life they enemy has a black man, that's who was killing they homies and that's who they were shooting at.

But they won't see the bigger picture and realize why those situations happen. I understand them but I'll never feel the same, I just know better.
yep. They have no idea who the REAL enemy is. To them, the "opp"= other black people

Black on black crime is a deflection period
Especially when you're the one endorsing it thru your music

And I see why pac distance himself from Snoop

Breh, I love you, but I disagree with it being entirely a deflection. Do some folks especially white folks use Black on Black crime as a deflection? Of course. No doubt they do! But when anyone Black, especially Black and lacks a history of tap dancing brings it up, neither they nor their views should be tossed in the bushes. Like it or not, crime in the Black community is intrinsically linked to both the need for a police presence, and white supremacy as a whole. Here's the deal though, do you really believe people are going to wake up and look at the complete picture in our lifetimes? I dont. I just dont have that kind of faith in people. That said, I see nothing wrong with folks tackling different and multiple aspects of problems that plague the Black community.

The first few minutes of that clip Game talked about Black unity. Admittedly I havent watched the rest and plan on doing so later, but its ridiculous to hate on his entire position and message even if there is a certain aspect of his platform you disagree with. He's not anti Black, and is seeking to mitigate Black on Black violence, but because he threw an olive branch to police that makes him a c00n? I cant agree with that. Here's the deal, like it or not, theres a ton of issues the Black community is up against and its impossible for folks to see the forest through the trees and recognize white supremacy as the chief culprit. That said, they see one tree labeled police brutality, and in the distance notices another tree labeled Black on Black crime. Both need to go, and there's nothing wrong with making note of the similarities of both. Especially when the one making note is a Black person with noble intentions.

It's funny that ALL the people that are finally talking with some sense (snoop, game, gates,,etc) are now "c00nS" to yall. How about wake the fukk up because there's definitely a PROBLEM amongst ourselves. Why people are just now realizing it, I'm not sure, but opening ya eyes and calling shyt like it is don't make a nikka a "c00n"

Real shyt this thread got me crackin up
lotta these entertainers dont wanna lose that sexual access to the non-black women....

if it aint bout the money, its about cowardice and sexual access....

No cape but these dudes are famous and in cali, they'll never be hurting for p*ssy
I can't remember who it was that said it but its so true. And its more obviously true now more than ever. There needs to be a swift separation of Black culture from "rap culture". The very fact that those two things are often intertwined and linked, by us and by society, has caused a lot of problems.
Real shyt.
+Rep for the both of you:sas1:

When black lives start to matter as equally as white lives, only then can All Lives Matter make any kind of sense. Even then it's a muthafukkin reach to say that. Can't say I'm surprised that some of these rappers, actors and athletes are posting All Lives Matter. Gotta protect that bottom line.

Lol I know we asked for more rappers to speak out but I think it's best they keep their mouth shut. :francis: I was watching Chris brown, desiiger, wiz Khalif, and August Auslina(sp?) responses......just :snoop: . :to: It's sad how unaware and inarticulate these guys are.
Ain't gon happen

nikkas like here in the coli for some reason want these rappers voice their opinions

So we gon be getting more of their uninformed perspectives
