the headline is incorrect after reading the article. the players who qualify for the $350k payment will not need to pay it back under any circumstance
it’s still some grimey business but that headline is misleading
the way I understand it, the $350k tier is players that are deemed higher risk, the $150k is for players opting at with lower risks
I have no idea how they can possibly make that determination, if a player doesn’t feel comfortable contracting the virus that would seem to be enough reasoning to opt out for the season
I’d be curious to see the breakdown of which players fell into which tier
