We're off to a good start for the 17 class

I guess you ain't up on the message board rumors. Apparently some staffs think Kongbo never decommitted from Tennessee. But rather this was all a charade by Butch Jones to land a big fish late in the process to increase hype. Nick Saban caught wind of this which is why Alabama stopped pursuing him out of nowhere.

Word is Kongbo already committed to the staff he's going to last week before the fsu trip and most think that's Tennessee.

I just said we gave him something to think about, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

Tennessee has a chance at the top 3 in 2017 as well. Unusual amount of in-state talent for us in Tennessee next year. If you look at 247s composite rankings 3 of the top 50 and 5 of the top 105 prospects in the class of 2017 are from the state of Tennessee. That's not typical. Tennessee is usually lucky to have 1 or 2 players in the top 250.

We're also favorites to land the #1 prospect in Georgia next year 5* DB DeAngelo Gibbs. He's a cousin of soon to be Vols DB Nigel Warrior. Nephew of Vols legend Dale Carter.

Plus we're in on tons of other high ranked prospects.
