The million multi style that Psycoses is using was the Grind Time equivalent of the PG step. 2008 shyt, peep the video below for proof. Psychoses is a little smoother with it than the guys in the video below, but realistically JC is going to cook this guy.

Psycoses is a guy who you can tell rewrites his ish a few times before performing (not sure why so many cats get away with shoddy writing), which is what separates him from the GT Thesaurus clones. He's kinda Dizaster in GT-esque but with a lot cleaner delivery. I don't think he has enough heavy punches to beat JC, but he does a good job of going building his bars with wordplay and technical writing tricks then closing with a haymaker (but it means less haymakers and more build-up). The main reason I think he could catch JC though is that Back To Basics is designed with shorter rounds (I think they said 2:30 is the max time limit for these events) and that means a dude who can cram that many bars can unload a lot more material than someone with a laid back delivery. JC in small rooms though >>> So I'm still giving him the W, but I expect that battle to be HYPE. I'll be coppin' the PPV and let y'all know my thoughts (between Day vs Danja Zone and JC vs Psycoses I'm pretty hype for this one).

Was reading the Math/Chilla battle thread and one of the posts made me think..

Would the "new" Chilla Jones (heavy punches, shorter schemes, more personal) still lose a mainstage crowd? Or is he at a point now where the haymakers would land constantly and rock the room?

Or would people still sleep through the bars?

People take that big stage/small stage shyt too seriously. If you spit dope bars, you will go over on any platform.

If you watch Chilla vs DNA, Chilla was too long winded for any tyoe of room. He barred dna's life away but he spit way too much filler. Chilla's rapping style now is perfect, he'd get off on any stage.

I respect the opinion, but there's a noted difference between the two environments and it can and has fukked with the battlers' demeanor and performance. I do agree that dope bars will do well mostly everywhere... but given how dense Chilla's punches and bars are, I tend to wonder if he can control the room consistently enough to fuel his performance (which, no matter wtf nikkas say, matters in the big venues).

I'm not mad, he seems like he's enjoying the challenge of impressing a crowd who might not be excited to see him.

I agree with DNA, jones seems like he just found out what schemes are and thats all he wants to do. but the crazy thing he got at clips for it in their battle but since then thats all he does and while hes not bad lyrically its lots of schemes concepts weve ehard already like his church scheme vs dna, overall it was dope but certain parts like "crucifix, crew should fix" weve heard a million times already.

I dont like the idea of certain battlers having to be on every card now which is what it seems is happening and its not based on talent at all but on connections, how much you kiss url's ass and how cheap you will do a battle for and do we as fans have any way to combat it, like what if the crowd just refused to fukk with dna every battle what would happen ?

i hate that fans will go to boo verb for instance, even though hes been fukking up too outside of briz but id rather seem him than dna or jones for example. or any of the dudes they dont like, jon jon, conceited, etc but then dna gets a pass even though the fans dont really even like him or even shine up until verb he had been trash for multiple years and nothing. he only got booed under normal circumstances cause he stumbled vs big t, they didnt boo him for no reason, thats why when he says "oh you dont stop the crowd from booing me" its not a valid point cause they only boo you for legit reasons
