I think I figured out what my real issue with Magic's flow is....it sounds like he's rapping to a beat that's playing in his head.

i mean we already knew that, he been rappin like that for ages, when Qleen put him on that summerjam screen

i feel like some times it's a strength and other times it's a weakness, like against Chilla that shyt was perfect cuz he wasn't getting stopped alot and was comfortable enough to perform and shyt

but in his battle vs. Ty and even this battle you can see he was way more reserved and wasn't really givin off any energy, so focused(lowkey nervous) on gettin his bars off without stumbling and he STILL ended up getting the mushmouth a few times in both battles he needs to get his confidence back and idk if having debatables with 2 pg nikkas is helping him

Magic really had debatables with Ty and Trez imo brehs that's no knock to them cuz they both stepped up, but Magic supposed to be the PLK and kill these nikkas

why did both Trez and Ty look more comfortable than magic?

did his terrible/forgettable 2014 fukk his confidence up that much?

who do we even wanna see him matched up with right now? just from an interest standpoint

Thing is Ty Law HAD to step it up it being his 1st battle in over a year. If he would've came there like he did against Prez it would've made for a terrible look.

Against Trez it being a small room probably didn't feel the need to over project, but he still should've gotten a bit louder it was hard to hear him for a bit.

Ty Law battle wasnt debatable at all. Please tell what Magic spit in either the second or third, that could have swayed the battle to him? Trez beat him too.

Problem is Magic was gassed to early by fans who probably thought he would continue to show progression, but really, he hit his ceiling with the Chilla battle, and its been downhill since. He skated by with a Tay Roc debatable and a couple of wins in wack battles against Clips and DNA, but ever since then he's shown regression. Ill Will battle is the first time i seen his confidence get knocked, and he's been stumbling and choking since. For now it looks like he's stuck being a PG/Mid Tier jobber.
