I have low expectations for Solomon (though I do think Day is gonna aim to make an example of him so I'm hype to see that body) and I have zero interest in the Shotty vs Ars rematch but the main event battles are all gonna do major views. Dumb vs Con is up to 2 million views already. So this is the sort of event and those are the types of battles that can help them put on a big time card like World Dom or Blackout. I think Illmac vs Pat is gonna be fire. Soul vs Bender has a lot of potential with how Soul's been going in lately, Gin-I vs Psycoses is at least an interesting one and I have really high expectations for Pass vs Chilla. It's not topping their best cards but it should do heavy views and a lot of the match-ups have potential to be pretty damned good. A couple more solid match-ups and I'll probably cop the PPV.

How much original quality talent does KOTD actually have?
Not the guys from GT West (which turned into the KOTD Fresh Coast), but the KOTD Canada guys.

Pat Stay - who Calicoe made to look like a sucka & fake tough guy

Charron - entertaining but really really corny

Kid Twist - entertaining, but I have to be in the mood to hear him rap. He will never be completely credible as a "rapper" in my eyes

100 Bullets - getting better and better, but he doesn't garner much excitement, no matter what

Bender - fell off. Has a nice 00's NYC underground rap flow thing going on, but isn't motivated/isn't built for the spotlight

Hollohan - fell off harder than Bender, drug addict emo tough guy, but he has star quality

Loe Pesci - humiliated by Daylyt, totally disappeared

I'm not white, so I don't have a reason to care about their battles if they aren't entertaining to me. And those bs ebony/ivory matches they have been putting on the last 2 years didn't help things much. I'm a huge fan of Avocado's camera work, but that doesn't change who is battling.

The old school West Coast guys have talent, but I don't relate much, and truthfully I think they lack in entertainment value somewhat too. Outside of Pass & Illmac, most of them don't sound good rapping. And that overdone multi style is just as corny as spelling words in the air to me. If you ask me that whole Fresh Coast scene was on some undercover racist shyt imo, but was forced to keep up with the times when Smack started dominating.

I'm not going to make myself to care about KOTD on some PC shyt. I care a little about Iron coming back, but that's because I rock with the whole End Of the Weak (EOW) movement so I have respect for him outside of battle rap.

Word. A unfocused Cal was able to make O-Red, Surf & Pat Stay look like lames. You can say Cal lost to Red & Pat, but their credibility levels took huge hits after battling him.
A focused Cal could be deadly, he did Nuborn, Math & Hitman very badly. Cal recently stated that he feels like people will care more about his music if he takes his upcoming battles more seriously. So that should be a good sign.

lol and Cal indirectly handed the KOTD title to Illmac. Now there's just too much ammo for a writer of Illmac's caliber to lose to Pat. Pat can't get aggressive with Illmac in any shape or form without looking like a herb.
