Like I said, a couple weeks ago Ortiz played at a pretty low level joint near my parents house in the jersey suburbs. While they have had some decent hip hop acts roll through the last couple years (Rakim, Pharaohe Monch, MOP) trust me when I tell you nobody is getting rich at the venue.

I think it is. He had a pretty terrible 2014, came back this year and had debateables with 2 PG nikkas (I though he lost both of them), and according to twitter reports just got edged out by KG Da Robot. He said Smack hasnt even called him for SM5

You're way off on this, all the way down to him being "fat". Dude had an deal with Dre, now he's in a group signed by Em.
You don't like Joell, I get it....
but getting anyone from Slaughterhouse to battle on the URL stage is coup, the Slaughterhouse group name carries more immediate battle rap cred, whether warranted or not.
Another member of Slaughterhouse battling can bring great publicity, and Joell sell tickets in NYC, bottom line.
