Yeah it's not rocket science, he sounds terrible rapping. Grind Time and KOTD has pushed so many of those types of guys on the battle world that people overlook their lack of natural rapping ability. The Saurus, Kid Twist, they are legends over on that side. But they can't "rap". When Illmac battled Saurus he pretty much told him, we can do these battle two on twos, but I can't do a song with you on my project because you can't really rap.

Guys like DNA and Rone are flawed but are a slight cut above the Charron, Saurus and Twist rapping wise. They have the rhythm and rhyme patterns down pat, they just don't have the voice or inflections for it.

Rone music is actually not bad. Wouldnt play it everyday but its better then most battle rappers music.

he was sayin DNA Is only good for 2 GOOD/decent lines, that's why he said 2 wavy lines and everything in between was filler, that was the whole point, 2 wavy lines with a bunch of flat ones in between (a double helix)

He says Dna starts with a solid bar and tries to make it a set up, then uses words that coincide to it to make it sound better, ends it with a wavy line and yall think that it's clever.

I don't really see where he's implying the middle bars are filler. Words that coincide with the setup? That's a good thing.

We've got opposite interpretations. If Shine meant it as a diss, to me it makes more sense that DNA's setup and punchline have nothing to do with each other, but he connects it with word association to force it together, make people think its hot. If you're saying wavy lines are good, then DNA is spitting a good setup + wordplay that fits + good punchline. If that's the case, then he's not dissing DNA's bars at all. Instead he's just saying "see, I told yall, when you break his lyrics down, it's constructed like a double helix".

Just gonna agree to disagree man. I know wavy line makes that angle go together, but that is like the time Verb was clowning Goodz for using egg roll. Lol, nobody's going around calling each other eggs like "sup egg?"

Immortal Technique would bring a shyt load of people to battle rap. Moreso than Joe Budden or Cassidy. Immortal Technique is on that Tech N9ne, Hopsin shyt, like that conspiracy/occult shyt.. those types of artists sell out the small/mid-sized venues EASY.

And I'm sure you could tell me #'s that would have Immortal Technique looking miniscule compared to Budden or Cassidy, but I swear, his fanbase is more fanatical and it would honestly be a better look for rap. Plus those underground dudes like Immortal Technique always talk about how mainstream rappers aren't lyrical and shyt. Well let's see what he's about then

Technique would have more to lose than Budden or Cassidy though; his fans take him more seriously (because his music is more "serious")... some random battler will just make up some shyt about Technique or talk about him being fake/not truly for the cause, and enough people will either buy it or believe it to hurt his base a little I think.

Yeah I did too, Tech slid Swave right into T-Rex's spot. As much as Rex has fallen off, I still can't give Swave that. But everyone plays favorites, Swave is his guy.
