Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
I'm not surprised. Lux has always rapped in layers. I think he doubled down on it more and the movements he has with it made it more intense. I'm through talking about it though. We know how great it is.
This is really the only kind of platform where he can showcase this.
During a battle, he's trying to accommodate 100s of people. Musically he's trying to get a following going.
On a freestyle you can just rap. No worrying about crowd reaction or song structure. You just do whatever you want.

I like what the URL is doing with traffic. They are putting together a Big URL card that is taking place on the West Coast. They aren't trying to force some West Coast nyggas on it like Debo did with QOTR. Keep it URL, but work the nyggas in that can hold their own.
I'm really surprised they are putting this type of time and money on a west coast event. Who is sponsoring this?

Pretty much.... either a radio freestyle or only bring this out in small rooms. Then again this ain't even Lux in full swing yet, he back to his eyes poppin out his head every other bar so it's a good indication the old lux is finally coming out to play.

If we're gonna see this Lux in a battle, it has to be in a small room. Ideally in a venue like Blackstar with minimal crowd so he doesn't have to worry about stopping during his rounds. Battle rap in its current form doesn't allow lyricism to this level because of the crowd interaction.

When Lux raps, he likes to change flows, change the tone of his voice, etc but he has spots where he gets REALLY aggressive.
If he were to bring HEAVY aggression against JC (or anyone), it would make his job of winning the battle much easier.

Lux isn't battling in a small room cause he wont get paid enough, and JC adjusting to the stage is precisely for him to even battle lux, the current crowd in big stage battles is so ass, I don't know that Lux can rap like that or not get stopped or booed depending on the crowd, Lux don't even or not just him but nobody gets the crowd respect for being a legend in big crowds anymore.
Also thoughts lately on seeing all these Math and Serious Jones interviews (well hearing his on angry fan) and even in battles, maths reaction to bigg k and Jones reaction to Swave, both Jones and Math are mad emotional and jus cant let go that they got suckered in a battle, and yeah I think both got suckered, I don't care that technically Jones head wasn't turned or Math said "do it" neither expected a punch and neither did anything to warrant an in battle punch, (Dose did so I don't include him) and even Dose prob couldn't take it and was obsessed with Math but hes just not a big enough star for people to want to keep interviewing but Math and Jones both salty as hell about the same thing, and its crazy in a way that Math cant see that Jones is almost acting the same as him, albeit math got jumped and math isn't saying street shyt that isn't true just to sound tough like jones, but still they both letting it affect the even in battles. Jones was super pissed about Swave and Math super pissed about Bigg K like damn nikkaz got too big of egos. I think Diz and Math are too hot headed to battle each other or for either to battle someone that is not a hot head but an instigator like Jones. that's why you had altercations in all their battles when they all faced each other. nikkaz need to get over it
