Unpopular Opinions About Battle Rap
Two things:
(1) Sending condolences to Bill Collector on his daughter passing. I don't think we even brought that up but regardless of how you feel about him as a battler, you know that's terrible thing to deal with if you're a parent.
(2) Looks like Thesaurus is at odds with KOTD over Charron getting exposed and I think something with trying to get a dececnt opponent for WD. We covered that whole thing with Charron apparently being a scammer and Thesaurus put it out there on a chat and Organik banned him from it. On top of that, he got offered P Nut but turned it down after he asked to either battled Soul or Tony D. Which would have made more sense since they are both international battle rappers in the UK area. Asking him to battle P Nut just sounds like a random Bunker battle. Or something on Blackout.

A little over a week or so ago I said the Lux freestyle was so powerful that the only person that could recreate that frenzy was EMINEM. He had to pop out. It might have sounded ridiculous at the time, but look what happened.
We saw Marv back there, so let's not pretend like Em doesn't know what's up.
Of course it wasn't Flex, and it wasn't as good as Lux, but he tried. And he grabbed everyone's attention.
It's just a reminder battle rap has some of the most creative people in hip-hop right now. I like to see these guys getting new revenue sources, because they're damn near the only ones giving hip-hop any hope. If DNA & Shine don't do the ESPN thing, ESPN would just find some clowns to attempt to recreate the feel. It's not a great time to have a partnership with ESPN at all, but I'd rather they have the authentic shyt. Even with all the bullshyt that these big name battlers pull, they deserve success more than a lot of these rappers that are "hot" right now.

watched Chess vs Dougy for the millionth time. Was enjoying the battle until Chess choked in the 2nd, which cost him the battle to me because Dougy was right on his ass. Chess has been choking forever

Most def dougy's best battle. His battle vs Gwitty was good too. But Dougy vs Chess is a top 3 WGH battle and a personal fav. The pure passion and aggression from both sides, you could tell they were both hungry
