Okay so, Hollow vs Clips
Round 1: Hollow
Hollow was stylin' and breaking down Clips setup-punchline structure really well. I also enjoyed him ripping on Couture. It's always hard to keep ripping on your opponent's girl fresh but Hollow done it. Did it with a good amount of energy too, more energy than Clips. He was more personal which I feel is one of the most important thing in battles. Clips was nice too, a lot of solid bars. Liked his rebuttal to Hollow's moms line but I feel he falls short because he wasn't as direct at Hollow. A lot of the stuff he said sounds good, he looks good saying it (peace, king) but Clips didn't go for his throat like I feel Hollow did and didn't really get personal at him until the end of the round where he talks about Total Slaughter and his moms.
Round 2: Hollow
I thought this was a weak round from both. Hollow spat a lot of filler but then eventually got to the Sike I Lied copyright stuff which I liked. When the round ended though I thought it was his to lose and I don't know if he did. Clips was battling pretty much everybody but Hollow, even the crowd. And damn, at the start of the round he was pretty much dapping Hollow's Sike I Lied copyright angle. Yea not really that direct. I thought he made a little bit of use of Cortez by showing that he really wasn't tight with Hollow. The multiple choice with the John John cameo was cool. It's pretty much if you like that or the Sike I Lied T-shirt shyt better. I thought the Sike I Lied T-Shirt stuff was more creative but the John John cameo hit a tiny bit harder. I'm gonna go with the Sike I Lied T-shirt but ask me on another day and you might get a different answer. But it was a below par round for both. At this point Hollow has the stronger performance thus far though.
Round 3: Clips
Clips got this. Came with more punches. The name flips were ok but nothing special but he had it in the bag after the Shang Tsung punch. Performance was clearly better than Hollow's. Hollow's excuses angle was nice but then he came the whole nother scheme with it thing that I didn't really feel. Like I ain't enjoy hearing Hollow would feed Clips grandmom's actual shyt tho that's just me. Would have probably been better off coming up with an original angle. Towards the end of the round I felt that he was phoning it in at that point.
This battle close to a draw. 2-1 either way. I'm gonna say Hollow but in no way is it a clear win. The most clear round win was Clips' 3rd but I think Hollow more consistent. Tbh it's not really the big mainevent battle that it was hyped up to be quality wise. Maybe I'm look I battle raps different. Oh well, peace king
