Tech and Swave cooked Blac in the money debate. Battlers could definitely be making WAY more than they are. Blac is way off

I know these days are over, but I would like to see leagues get back to “old school” recruiting, specifically QOTR.

QOTR got away from “old school” recruiting, which was a big reason why they were never able to really acquire talent again.

When they were developing a roster in the beginning, they needed females. For example, Jaz was a rapper, but not a battler. They saw a freestyle, reached out, and were like “hey we saw your freestyle, how would you like to battle?” They really had to convince her to do it. They had to find rappers, and get them to battle rap. These girls aren’t gonna fall into your lap. The females that are interested aren’t cutting it. Forget about these current crop of females that WANT to battle.

It sounds like they learned to battle first, as opposed to rapping first. That’s why they sound similar.

They have to go back to finding females that already rap, and convince them to battle.

Recruit rappers, put them through a million sparring sessions if you have to (ie Bonnie) and create a roster.

I would like to see the male leagues do this as well, but that isn’t happening.

I 100% agree. I wish SMACK just creates a female roster. QOTR dropping the ball means someone should of easily stepped up. But no one has. That lane is wide open. QOTR at it's prime proved there is a audience for female battle rap. NHB was getting Summer Madness attention.

Torture
Melato
Tia S
Nina
Casey Jay
Jade

could easily be the new wave if they had a proper platform.

That is not a wave. All of those girls are trash.

They just need to go after rappers and convert them to battle rappers. However, it does require some effort and Debo probably feels he's above that at this point. That "we QOTR, they should come to us" mentality isn't gonna work.

I think male battle rap would benefit from this as well. I know I'm not the only one who comes across some freestyles and think "this guy should look into battling."

For example, I think E Class (from the Hoodies) should look into battling. He sort of sounds like Surf, but I think he would really benefit and gain way more followers than he has now.

Funny how these battlers are able to generate way more followers and views than Mickey Factz.

@FreshAIG

Does Mickey do well from touring? It's the only thing I can think of that perhaps he does.

That new chick TierraWhack used to battle but i never heard of her, she can really split tho, just dropped a project Wackworld with dope visuals that got her poppin(obviously was already signed cuz all the media outlets and major artists mentioned her within days of it coming out)

I do think since the mainstream world only lets 2 girls rock at the same time there are plenty of female MC's who'd be open to the money/attention rapping on URL could give em

I would assume so, I know he’s with Lupe a lot, and opens for him. And he said he tours all year round, so he seems to be doing fine.
