After watching both 1st rounds from Mook and Verb I have ask.....
What do people see in Mook as a battle rapper?
Like seriously. To me he's a chore to watch and has little replay value. I only go back and watch his battle against Party Arty.
I gave the first to Verb, he was more direct and overall better performance than Mook. Mook had some bars but his flow was choppy, especially with the drawn out schemes it mad them hit less. I seriously don't understand why he's a GOAT when all he did was battle on Smack camera first.
However...
Mook is a fukkkk1ng idiot for not battling in this era. His style would go so over. All he needs to do is update it. Plus it helps he can get through his rounds clean and knows how to sell a fight. He could have just battled twice a year at NOME or SM and get a bag for that.

The economic forecast for battle rap is bad. If they can't make money from youtube views, than they have to sell PPV. Battle rap fans have been raised on being able to watch battles for free. It's only a matter of time until that PPV money starts to dry up. Especially if people aren't satisfied with the event.
Let's take Summer Madness 7 for instance. In the past we would have heard how bad it was, but if you weren't there you don't fully take peoples word for it. Then URL releases the best battles (probably Hitman vs Tay Roc and Iron Solomon vs JC), those battles generate a lot of views and URL makes money off those views. By that time their next event is up and they can trickle out some of those other battles as well as the best battles of the most recent event. They can't do that now. They have to sell battle rap fans on the event being good enough to purchase a PPV.

Its actually been a relief. He's shown up in his battles more and been more entertaining.
