Considering we had 2 shots on target and Atletico missed some sitters, I think that cancels out any grievance any Arsenal fan can have. Still a great result, 2nd leg is winable but I'm not overly confident

I dunno, I see a lot of them using a still image where it looks like the defender is stamping on Eze's foot but once you see it like this (which is prob what the VAR were looking at) then its obviously not a pen..Everything looks worse in slow motion too so if it doesn't look like a pen slowed down then it definitely shouldn't have been given. I think its a ready made excuse for the Arteta cult if we do go out next week
Thing is there were 2 iffy penalties given in the PSG vs Bayern game but no one gives a fukk because there were 7 more goals scored. These guys will just use any excuse to defend their dictator

Now do I think it's the worst foul in the world? no but contact is made, once that is the case it's subjective and down to the ref and your re-reffing the game from that point.

I understand what you are saying there and from first reactions and in real time yes it looks like a penalty, but then when VAR sees it and realises he doesnt actually stamp on his foot and at most just grazes it, which isnt enough to make him go down like that i can see why it got over turned
Regarding the first 2 penalties i think both penalties considering the competition they were playing in
Maybe in the Prem the white one wouldnt have been given but you are not playing in the prem

And a 1 all draw away in Madrid is a good result and should be enough to get you through, all though you havent scored more than 1 goal in each of your last 8 games so you need to keep a clean sheet back at home
