The only thing proven last night was the NFL was going to crown LA by any means necessary
Fake ass "champs"
We see you in the thread dikkriding bro we get it
You're right in that they want BURROW to be a star....not necessarily the Bengals.
They need his brand to be strong but he doesn't need a bunch of rings. He can be Aaron Rodgers and just win one or two and that's more than enough to make Cincy fans happy as hell.
Los Angeles is where the $$$$ is. Chargers will never run that city and the Raiders were always Oakland's team before going to Vegas. The Rams are LA's team and with the Lakers aging roster, the Clips not doing anything...it's pretty much Dodgers and Rams. Football being football, they know the easiest way to build loyalty is to win.
Young white coach that's photogenic compared to most coaches , star power and success. Media mostly lives on the coasts anyway. NFL wants the Giants/Jets or Rams..at least one of those 3 teams needs to be good at all times. Cowboys/Steelers/Packers/Niners and maybe the Raiders are the only franchises that trump them.
Not really.. the NFL wasn't in LA for twenty years and benefited from this by using LA as the threat for teams who wanted their city to fund new stadiums for them. The NFL was all about the smaller markets and outside of a few great NY Giants years the big cities weren't shyt to the league. Once Ballmer bought the Clipps for $2 billion then they realized they weren't maximizing the league potential to its fullest. They make billions upon billions in television deals, a big city team doing well is simply just a bonus for them. You're right in that they want BURROW to be a star....not necessarily the Bengals.
