TV's been getting alot more recognition than movies as of lately

TV's been getting alot more recognition than movies as of lately

I can definitely buy that argument for cable/Netflix shows that are getting all the critical acclaim & have a more flexible shooting schedule for Film Actors.

But the last couple years, I'm seeing more & more film actors doing Network shows that typically have 22-24 epsiodes per season that have a much less flexible schedule.

Something definitely going on.

It's not money, half these TV shows ain't paying shyt. I remember a couple years ago Leda Headey (Cersei) was broke because "Game of Thrones" wasn't paying her very well.

A lot of actors are doing TV because at the end of the day they want a job they enjoy, and most movies are not challenging for even a moderately skilled actor. They can't really get into a character or story that's developed for 2 hours....they can in a 13-24 episode series.
