Have sales figures been released yet? I didnt even know they had.
Only square knowa wether this was a success or not, depends on the amount ms gave them etc.
Releasing it on the same day as fallout 4 was indeed dumb though.
Right, but we dont know the financial details between ms and square. Considering square thought the first one having what was it 3 million sales the first while was a disappointment Im betting the money had to be huge for them to take the deal.American sales figures haven't been released yet, but come NPD in a couple weeks you already know this game ain't beating Fallout, Battlefront, Black Ops 3. I don't think it's gonna beat 2K16 or Halo 5 (which ain't doing as good as its predecessors but it's still Halo). We do know according to Black Friday estimates, damn near nobody bought the game or the Xbox One bundle.
Internationally we know this game is doing horribly. Making it a MS exclusive knowing the vast majority of international countries are PlayStation, on top of the fact the last game sold twice as much on PS is a recipe for a flop.
MS didn't devlop the game at all. They just paid for that 1 year deal. Oh please believe Square cares about sales. It's not just about now. it's the future also. TR was joining the elite franchises again. But a poor business decision stopped momentum and may have hurt future releases down the road.square can care less about sales. They got MS to pour a lot of resources into developing and marketing of this game(huge mistake on MS part) They probably not hurting financially on this game and they can recoup on the other platforms when they release

Im betting square is fine, they probably got a huge payoff.
Ms made the deal to sell systems,so thats the ultimate barometer of whether the deal was successful.
I don't think anyone cares about this game enough to wait a year to play it on Ps4. Now had MGS V or Fall Out 4 been Xbox 1 exclusive, then I think peopld would have cared enough to buy the system. Why wait when you can play this now? I got a ps4 and an X1 (so no Stan shyt). I'm gonna enjoy the shyt outta this a year before y'all. That's a win to me. How can you be happy waiting? I'm gonna double dip when the PC version arrives, but I couldn't wait to play it. Fallout 4 has most of my time, but I'm finishing this real soon.
By all accounts and rumours on the net,the game sold terribly, i saw a 300K figure, which would be pretty bad for a game of this budget but we'll see. You're probably right on Squares end, they're probably not really sweating it because they got MS money regardless.
But Tomb Raider wasn't going to move systems, most people bought the 299 Gears bundle and didn't bother with TR. All it did was serve as a side dish to the main Halo 5 or Gears of War bundle meals. But the point is it's failing even at that and it's really not helping that MS is making little effort to remedy that. A Best Buy exclusive bundle on Black Friday for 350?! They literally sent that game out to die. They put more effort in moving the Gears bundle (they were even throwing in $60 gift cards at Target, much like they did last year)
We'll see how it did next month, if it did even remotely decent I'll take the L for making this thread prematurely. But it's not looking like it at all judging by what we know how it sold internationally and during Black Friday.
There's only unofficial reports right now.Does OP have any
