I remember him writing a blog entry once on why people should never donate money to cancer research.

He actually had a valid point in that research companies turn profits by using those donations, but it takes an unusual kind of dude to speak out against people trying to find a cure for cancer.

I kind of agree with that in the context of those commercials. Alyssa Milano looking all pristine yet talking about sick kids with Flys on his face. You see this yet you doing a commercial smiling it up and showcasing? Never believed that money was going where they said.
