This is the part where non-blacks focused on Floyd DV issues no longer carry concern about BW

I was never mad at the black women who felt a way about Floyd. For many of them, the magnitude and sheer size of Saturday's fight introduced them to Floyd's BS and they reacted accordingly and will continue to do so around the issue. But for many in the media always aware of Floyd's behavior, there was no "genuine" concern about black women facing abuse prior to his fight with Pacquiao. It was the platform and size tied to Floyd that increased their "sudden" concern. For example, Both Keith Olbermann and Michelle Beadle worked and work with Jim Lampley for years....a man who knocked out his girlfriend and intimidated witnesses to the abuse, yet he failed to be their springboard. So for those two, their sudden concern is not only suspect but hypocritical. Genuine concerns are tied to consistent principles & consistent principles doesn't worry about the size of the stage tied to who attempts to compromise it.

Something tells me that the black women concerned about domestic violence affecting them will be them and them alone speaking on it while the concerns expressed by many who appeared as the spotlight on the fight grew will no longer show any "concern" since benefits of the attention it drew to them is no longer around.

Well said. There were a number of black women on my twitter feed who were boycotting the fight but also calling out these "journalists" for not giving a damn about black women being victims of DV but rather trying to push their own agenda. If that purse wasn't 100mil most of those white people making a big hoopla about it wouldn't have given a damn about Floyds ex being beaten. They don't give a shyt about black women, it just burns their soul to see a black man who has made some terrible mistakes still have the ability to make more in one night than them, their kids, grand-kids, and great grand-kids ever will combined.

exactly.

I wasn't going to argue with many of the black women I know pissed off at Floyd because this was really their first forray into knowing Floyd because the fight was THAT BIG. Any dude who behaved like Floyd would receive their scorn. But to most of the media....they didn't care. they only care when it's to their benefit and the size and attention given to the fight gave them an opportunity to front like they gave a fukk.

I'm proud of the sistas that shyt on them for it, too.

NYC I totally agree with you said. However the black men and women in the media who talked about boycotting Floyd I still gave them the side eye. Cause these the same boot lickers that will pass on white males doing shyt....like jamele and mettenberg or big Ben while jumping in with both feet in in Winston's ass.

To the everyday sisters and brothas who called Floyd out or boycotted the fight because how he treats women I have no beef with them and agree.

But to the bigots and sambos in the media I will not give them any props cause 9 times out of 10 they are grand standing.

These aint Jemelle Hill types. Like I said...the sheer size of this fight was these women first introduction to Floyd's history. Jemelle lives sports. It's not the same.

I find it funny how they keep attacking Floyd yet have no problem having mike Tyson on their shows. The same man who went to jail for rape? Why is a jailed rapist being allowed on network TV? obviously now that mike is no longer a threat they love him now just like they've always loved Muhammed Ali. When Ali dies watch them come out and proclaim him an American hero who was loved by all :mjlol:

Watch them sing floyd's praises in 30yrs time when he's an old man and use him to attack another black boxer. From jack Johnson to Floyd Mayweather, it's always been the same. Just different tactics.

Tyson did his time and has been clean since. Floyd is still beating women up.

This is an example of another issue that's just as bad but different. You don't have to bring another brother down just because one brother is getting shytted on.

Best believe that if Tyson was still on top of the world, they would keep bringing up his past. Now that he's no longer a threat to them they don't have a need to. It has nothing to do with Mayweather not showing remorse or any other BS reason they have to keep focusing on Mayweather's past.

And what was Mayweather's recent incident?

There was none. This incident happened half a decade ago. And he accepted a plea deal for it. He's had how many fights since then? 7? Why didn't they bring it up throughout that whole time? Now during his highest payday, they want to talk about a boycott.

A Blackman does something equates to him being a vicious savage who doesn't deserve forgiveness and a white man that does it deserves forgiveness and everyone deserves a second chance. Hell I should say black people, you think Mitchelle Obama would be cut some slack if she had a history like Laura Bush? And why wasn't Robert Blake hounded as much as OJ? And how can Roman Polanski be acclaimed and praised by Cacs when he has such a perverse and disgusting history. The same thing occurring with Floyd is the same shyt black people have faced over and over again, this goes beyond the issues of DV.......gawd I fukking hate Cacs such devious Devils and the double standards and hypocrisy is astounding.
