The ability to stream NBA games when you want to is relatively new, and they don't have the best development going on right now, but that is starting to change.

It's not a cruel joke, it just means eventually you will see them, once the ground level development stuff happens the flood will come. The first Chinese player to make it to the NBA only happened 15 years ago, you can't expect a flood without a trickle. The sheer law of averages say it will happen eventually, far too many people play there and will now be emulating NBA players they see on TV. It's not like India where nobody is really playing, they love the game in China and you will see high level players soon. There are already several NBA level prospects they have
