We back #PantherPosse! The official 2016 NFL Season is almost upon us and following the tradition of excellence here's The Official Carolina Panthers 2016 Season Thread. Ever since the disappointing conclusion of Super Bowl 50, it seems the Off-Season for the squad has been a never ending nightmare
2016 Off-Season recap:
- Constant controversy and fall-out over QB Cam Newton's actions during AND after the Super Bowl
- CB Josh Norman leaving due the squad due to Agent fukkery and him not signing his Franchise Tag tender
- Gettlemen and DT Kawaan Short not reaching a long-term deal before the official season start
- Worst Of all League MVP Cam continues to make socially ignorant and unaware comments, that not only offends his core fanbase but will never endear him to his many detractors
But its not all bad Panther Nation, we have several things to look forward to this upcoming season, with the most important thing of note being the return of our stud at Wide Receiver, Kelvin Benjamin.
This should add another layer to the offense. Plus The Panthers will finally get to see their Twin Tower WRs on the field together, when KB and 2nd year WR Devin Funchess get to lineup together on the field for the first time. Early reports claim that Benjamin and Funchess are the best WR duo coming out of Training Camp since the days of Moose & Smitty.
Other Positives Moving Forward Into The 2016 Season:
- Our front 7 is still looking vicious and one of the best of the league
- Running Game seems to be coming along with C.A.P. helping Stew carry the load
- Our O-Line has consistency for the first time in years, which is a great thing despite SB50's performance
- NFC South is still ripe for the taking:youngluke:
The Upcoming 2016 Schedule looks to be as tough or worse than the 2015 Season. Besides facing the wack ass NFC South, The Panthers are assigned the NFC West and AFC West Divisions. The sqaud also have to see the NFC Division Champs of each Division, with the season opening with a SB:50 rematch against the Denver Broncos.
