I remember the series and the game, first time that the rivalry between the two stars was visible to non Lakers fans.
Kobe saying "don't worry, I got this" and coming through to do it rubbed Shaq the wrong way when he got all the attention post game.

I mean I think everyone knows that shaq was on a completely different level than Kobe at this time, but I don't think brining up the guy Kobe would go on to score 81 points against is really the play here
Its time to dispel any illusion that shaq was 1a and kobe was 1b that is false, shaq avg 38ppg with 12 blocks he alone was the primary reason for this playoff and series championship run

Jalen Rose intentionally injured Kobe early in G2, he played 8 mins that game...he said the only way they'd beat the lakers was to injure Kobe
He missed G3...he was supposed to miss G4 but he played and led the lakers to an OT win (this was the most impt game of the series)
He was hobbled the rest of the series
The 2 most impt games of the 2000 playoffs, G7 vs Portland and G4 vs Indy, Kobe put the Lakers on his back
