African-Americans put in a lot of work in the anti-apartheid movement. Many of our activists and celebrities (like Oprah Winfrey) have embraced South Africa.

AADOS stay embracing Africa.

The love is not equally reciprocated though. That's fine, it's to be expected but there's nothing we can do about SA right now. If y'all want back up on the continent or in the diaspora than #aagang needs residency/right of return status at bare minimum. No more leveraging political capital for nothing in return.

There is no benefits for American DOS for associating with Africa or with Black immigrants...we live in the richest country in the world, got the most powerful country in the world, the most politically advanced group of African descended people in the world...despite being 12 percent of the population...and coming from slaves

We are the greatest group of Africans to ever exist...WE DON'T NEED TO CLIQUE UP WITH ANYBODY IN THE DIASPORA...

We do fine all by ourselves and have been for hundreds of years...ain't nobody came and got us...

Just like there are no benefits for East Asian groups like Koreans and Chinese and Japan to associate with Cambodians and Laotian...

Or for Europeans to associate with Middle Easterners...

But unlike East Asians...American DOS associate with Black immigrants cause we are forced together by White people...and our unifying notion of Blackness which was also given to us by White people so no mixed DOS can be free from slavery...

So Black immigrants literally trafficking off American racism...and Blackness...something that White people created to keep us back...

The Blackness that was given to us...to prevent us from ever being shyt...now benefits Black immigrants who come here and get rewarded for being Black in America...without actually having to be Black in America...

If we had the balls of East Asians....

We would told Black immigrants that they don't get Affirmative Action or any of that shyt...

But instead...we let people who sold us into slavery, come from educated backgrounds,come from a place where there is nothing but Black people...get advantages over us...by pretending to be us...until they get into the White House and say some shyt like DOS don't deserve reparations because it would be unfair to immigrants...

Race doesn't mean shyt, only people at the bottom thinks that everybody is acting all coordinated...

White people aren't united...

Asians aren't united....

Middle Easterners aren't united...

Africans aren't united...

At the end of the day...Japanese people are for Japanese people...American crackers are for American crackers, Koreans are for Koreans and so and so...
