Let us think about this. If time travel is a real concept and can be achieved, it's something that we are likely at least hundreds of years away from scientifically. In 100+ years, will cell phones as we know them today exist? No. There will be some other communication technology.

Furthermore...lets say time travel existed RIGHT NOW and you traveled back to 1920 with your cell phone. It wouldn't work, you'd have no reception and no ability to charge it lmao. So why would you be walking down the street talking into it?

Oddly enough, I could see us sending cell reception back in time, before we send a complex organism. The only caveat is that in the 1930s only Edison(who discovered radio waves by accident in the 1870s), Alexander Bell, and maybe Tesla (who expiremented with wireless power and communications in that era) could actually receive them.


cell reception is just the flow of EM waves or photons. if you can send a human (and the trillions of complex atoms that compose him) to the past, then sending one photon backwards in time should be easy. Neil Degrasse Tyson was low key siphoning his grad school funds to do just that during his PHD years, cause this concept was a joke in the 80s. It obviously didn't work

You have your cell phone, watch, and ear pods. You wouldn't be able to explain how any of it works lmao. Nor could you really give them any real historical information outside of vague shyt you remember from movies or history ("one year, the Romans are gonna burn your library fam so watch out").
