this whole idea of an open racist in the white house being good for black folks is so lazy and simple minded. black people who think like this haven't done jack shyt to start whatever revolution this was supposed to inspire. i also suspect a bunch of black folks who think like this have nothing going for themselves or no aspirations or nothing to lose. you don't care about the black folks who are making it and making it happen for others. all you see is your own miserable existence.

it's idiotic because it completely disregards the areas where we were making positive progress. sentencing laws, doj forcing corrupt police to fall back, gov starting to acknowledge the war on drugs was a farce, financial regulatory practices that kept black folks from being easy targets, lifetime appointments for judges that weren't ruling on clear racial bias, more black people in positions of power and decision makers than ever before...
but an open racist and his racist cabinet is somehow going to force more black people to get out and do something than an administration that would have done more to empower black folks to do for themselves. and at the very least not trip up people who were advocating for that goal. smfh!
hillary was a very poor choice for the dems to support, but her platform would have done more to move us forward or not get in the way of our progress compared to trump.
i still believe we can't put our hopes, goals, future in the hands of political saviors, but i damn sure know we're worse off with someone like trump and the people he has on his team.
