in the primary the republicans pulled in close to 3 million votes in florida, the democrats barely cracked 1.5 million.. that doesnt look good for it to stay blue.

:yeshrug:

wouldnt put too much into that -real numbers more like 2.2mill rep vs 1.7mill dems

add the cruz / rubio cuban aspect problaby energized south FL
in a general they aint voting for da don

article is just saying that a high turnout doesnt mean u get a automatic W, but im sure it gets u a higher chance of winning.

just look what obama did with his high turnout.
No, the data in the article showed exactly what the headline said: that there is no correlation between primary turnout and general election results. They took the last 6 cycles that had competitive primaries on both sides, and 3 times the side with the higher primary turnout won the popular vote and 3 times they lost...they win the electoral college 4 times and lost twice. And it proved that there is no correlation with increases in primary numbers from the last competitive cycle to general election results.

You don't have to be a political scientist to see why there is higher primary turnout this year on the Repub side this year (although the data supports what I'm about say anyway): it's because the Repub primary is far more competitive. There's way more candidates on the Repub side, and they've fought tooth and nail. The winner (Trump) only got like 35% of the vote. On the Dem side Hillary was always the front runner and Bernie made it interesting, but nobody ever really thought he was going to win except delusional stans.

he'll probably lose, but it'll be closer than these smug whillary whores are acting like

people dont want to elect hillary clinton :scusthov: theyre just holding their noses and voting. a sizeable amount arent gonna vote for her
No it won't. Independents hate Trump. He's going to lose Arizona and Georgia. He will get crushed. But go ahead, cape for a man who's Supreme Court will abolish affirmative action.

got a call for three nines
Lets wait until Trump start his centrist campaign before we do projections. Trump just won the Reds and now he has to win the minds of Blues and those that feel disenfranchised by the Clinton machine. If he tones down his rhetoric and starts presenting his ideas in a "Presidential" way, he's going to gain a lot of ground.

As of right now, I think Hillary steamrolls him. I'll wait to see how that changes in the next few months. Low Democratic voter turnout could be key to Trump taking it all.

He's said a lot of things he can't take back

Do Trump idiots realize that Trump is polling significantly worse than Romney amongst WHITE voters?

He's polling worse among all minority groups obviously, but Trump stans have this fantastic theory of him stealing rust belt states because of all the working class white voters there with no evidence to support it.

Meanwhile in reality he's polling worse among white people than previous Repub candidates just like he is among blacks, hispanics, asians, etc.

23% approval among women. Women were 53% of the electorate in 2012.
