I read that book. Fascinating read. It's a nonstarter because Israel is an ally in terms of the region. American interests care more about that then Palestine. That simple.
but, as a relatively uninformed outsider, it's outrageous that the two sides haven't worked out a deal. It's unimaginable that there isn't a solution, but you have two extreme sides in leadership for 20 years. That's the answer right there.
