Phil Jackson really James Dolan's escape goat.

I like Phil Jackson's vision build around Kristaps Porzingis, Willy Hernangomez, Frank Ntilikina and buying out Melo starting a new chapter.

James Dolan wanted Melo to stay not buy him out watch them try to put vets around Melo and try to be a 8th seed.

Money can't buy peace of mind :manny:

Not a true comparison but look at KD. Dude left money on the table AND was crucified for making a career decision that was best for him. KD has never looked happier than he does right now:manny:

Phil or no Phil Carmelo looks miserable in that Knicks uniform. I think a fresh start somewhere else(with a winning culture) would be good for his mental.

So Dolan basically payed Phil 60 million to draft Porzingis...and then Phil got out of his job by threatening to trade Porzingis :mjlol:

Phil did what he needed to do to get his check paid in full...He had no intent on finishing his time out.

I wonder what direction they will go in I also think passing on Smith and Monk will come back to haunt them and good bye triangle fukk ya...It's not that good of a system when you don't have alltime GOATs to run it.

Passing on DSJ & Monk could be a killer...

He left because of melo. He wants to rebuild but Dolan doesn't want to buy him out, and melo won't budge on trade

We're going back to the old Knicks. Trading picks for short term solutions :blessed:

Amazing. Cats are STILL blaming Melo.

I still want Melo to leave. New York is toxic, to much negative energy, move on.

Yup, the fans are way too fickle, some were even turning on KP in the season thread.

phil explicitly said he would trade kristaps...so how is that building around him?
paying someone to not play for you is the last option you should go for
its "scapegoat"
you dont know what you're talking about.

He didn't plan to trade him only took a couple calls to see if somebody was willing to trade the house I.e. Boston giving up all their assets. I'm not high on Kristaps as some people I think he good but I don't look at him like some franchise player.

Well, buying out is the only option when you give the player all the leverage with a no trade clause

Frank has star potential, I don't think he'll be a star. He will be a very valuable asset worthy of the #8 pick however.

DSJ on the other hand is probably going to be the second best player in this draft.
