Even if Phil led the Knicks to an NBA title it would have been highway robbery with the money Dolan paid him.

This is a good move for the Knicks. A GREAT MOVE would be finding someone to buy the franchise from Dolan. Surely Jeff Bezos or Michael Bloomberg have a few dollars to spend.

In any case, I'm curious what this means for the kind of basketball the Knicks intend to play this season. Without Phil's insistence on the Triangle, what does Hornacek press the team to do now?
(Not that I think Hornacek is the right coach for this team anyway, but...)

The Knicks just picked up the option on the final two years of his contract in April. I'm wondering if he went public with the Prozingis trade talk to get fired on purpose and get $24 million more to buy weed, organic pound cakes and incense with. He didn't even have to orchestrate one trade or deal with free agency this summer.

:mymanknicks:

Good luck Dolan luring a marquee free agent to NY any time soon like anyone will forget what you did to Oakley this season.
