Russian is by all intensive purposes being absolutely embarassed right now. Putin and his generals expected all objectives to be done and Ukraine pacified within weeks, but 2 months in they have:


- just managed to barely take one major city, Mariupol, which is still seeing fighting

- Completely withdrew from the Kyiv region which was where the majority of the initial offensive took place

- they have lost over 7 Generals which means that their forces are extremely disorganized, lacking morale etc which means that generals have to literally direct from near the front.

-Lost the Flag ship of their black sea fleet

-And probably most damningly, havent gotten air superiority at all 2 months in.

They had to refocus their entire offensive on the Donbas region, where the separatists were holding the fort yet even then theyre struggling there the past 5 days.


And all this just for NATO to get bigger, Ukraine get more arms and them to get blacklisted by most the world.

The fact Putin keeps making his own cabinet disappear is icing on the cake.

You are basically describing what happen to America in Vietnam and it took them 10 years to tap out. No different than Korea too. And we aren't even a year removed from the US running out of Afghanistan after two decades. And let's not talk about Cuba. Last real win they had was WW2.

By all US metrics, Russia is winning after two months while the US is filling the pockets of Ukrian oligarchs. American propaganda is cool in theory but it doesn't measure up to its own history.

US took all of those countries in weeks. United States lost 2k men in Afghanistan in like 20 years, mostly in terrorist attacks and shyt like that.
Russia lost 20-40k men in 2 months from real war, no terrorist attacks, not cause they were guarding girls in school and got blown up by suicide bombers who don't like girls. 40k civilians died in Afghanistan in 20 years, mostly in the hand of the terrorists, about 25 died in Ukraine in 2 months, at the hands of Russians.

You can't compare this shyt in any dimension. You can't compare the reason for the war, nor how the war played out. The Afghan war is between one side that wants a "modern/democratic" rule, and another side that wants the country to be like the stone ages. US supported the former because they latter supported terrorists. US washed them, they ran to other countries and to the mountains. US tried to train and help the "good side", but the were trash, so the US left.


People don't understand the superiority of the US Armed Forces, it's not 1950 anymore.

If I would compare this to a US "operation" that would be Iraq, Iraq had the same type of army, loads of weapon and GDP stronger.
