I watched the vid in the OP. I didn't see her try to keep him from getting to the spot. I think you guys are trying too hard with that one. Stick to her balling up her fist like she was gonna hit him, because there I agree, he had a right to protect himself. Hit her? hmmmm maybe not, but he should have been smarter than that.
