I just watched. She cut him at the bar using her Anglo privilege, he had some words, she started to get crunk and go for an initial swing, he grabbed her to prevent it, he let her go, she fired off a punch and didn't connect, and decked her solid and knock the aggression out of her.

exactly, dude is going for the vacant spot, rests his arm on the bar to secure the spot and asks the non brolic lady to give him space which she does. Everything is standard bar protocol to this point.
