I was Bushed when this thread was made, but I'll put my hat in the ring for what it's worth.

I've been here 5 1/2 years . I have 30K post, 52K daps. I have thousands of posts and daps in HL.

I have opinions that range across the spectrum.

I'll actually allow posters to discuss topics. I will not shutter or censor different viewpoints, that aren't "officially sanctioned" by some authority.

Here are some things I would do:
1) I would encourage posters to utilize the IGNORE button if I see they are reporting another poster constantly, and there doesn't appear to be anything worth reporting. The official coli guidelines say the first response to trolls is to ignore them.

2) If a poster is making derivatives of the same topic in an extremely short time frame, I will encourage posters to do a search for topic and add there, or ccombine their opinions in same thread. If they continue, then I may combine in existing thread. Bushing or locking are done only if other alternatives aren't working.


3) I will not censor, bush, and/or lock threads, unless it is completely off the wall stuff that makes no sense or they appear to be engaging in a degenerative conversation. You are allowed to discuss topics, but I do encourage searching for predecessor threads. I will not lock, bush, or give warning points because I don't agree with your POV. My role is not to think for you, my role is to keep the open discussion flowing .

Let me serve the posters of the Intellectual Hub of The Coli and bring back open and free discussion the way it was in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Can you imagine in any of those years a moderator locking a Sept 11 thread on Sept 11 and saying we aren't allowed to discuss this topic???????

Any moderator that censors a Sept 11 thread on Sept 11, and somehow reasons we are not capable to discuss the topic, because moderator feels the topic needs to be only discussed in some "conspiracy theory" thread means there needs to be a variety of modship that doesn't think like that.

I don't care if it's not me, but if chosen I will serve the people and not one sided viewpoints. There definitely needs to be a sensible posters as moderatot that wouldn't do some bullshiit like that.
