i think that being a mod in HL would be way to skressful for me.

i couldn't be a mod here either... people are too absolutist and cynical, especially on the internet.... everything has to fit nice and neatly in one box or the other.... there is no nuance to be had and empathy won't be tolerated... without a paycheck, it wouldn't be worth the headache.....

Even if you don't agree with me on every topic (which dammnit, you're not supposed to), I will not be on some censorship shiit just because I don't like your source or your opinion. If the same posters are constantly reporting the same posters for trolling and all I see is an individual opinion I will direct them to the coli guidelines on "ignoring trolls by using the IGNORE feature" first.

We have moderators that either haven't read the guidelines on trolling or are not actually encouraging posters to implement the suggested actions. I don't have to make up rules or guidelines, if you "feel" someone is a "troll", The Coli Guidelines in The Help section clearly state in the 2nd paragraph

What they mean when they say they want to clean up HL all they mean is that they are going to abuse their mod powers to attack posters who's pov they don't like

It's just a bunch of guys who have been bushed for a while complaining after conspiring in their PMs.

They've always touted the position that if posters like them aren't allowed to roam free then higher learning won't have real discussion because it lacks opposing views.

Interestingly enough I'd say no one actually missed them while they were gone and meaningful discussions actually grew a little.
