A lot of niccas just don't THINK like that. I've spoken to niccas about buying property in West OAKLAND. Now, you can't even afford to live in the area because it's being gentrified. This is the Harlem of the west coast I'm talking about. Black folk worked their fingers to the bone during the shipyard and left the property to their children and grandchildren. What did these niccas do? Sell the property and blow the money. A lot of our folk make HORRIBLE decisions but I've learned so much of that comes from a lack of vision and knowledge. White folk and Asians keep a lot of that information to themselves, they don't hold seminars and let knowLedge trickle down to our people. A brother put me on to real estate, and instead of blowing my money, I invested. I'm cashing out in spring/summer 2015 and I'm going to REINVEST. I'm going to raise my son the same way. The bibles says my people perish for a lack of knowledge and it says where there is no Vision the people perish.

i also peeped this in the filmore dist (i used to think that was Harlem West) and hunters point. spending time in the bay made me realize that our community issues are the same nationwide. we literally being forced out of communities that have been our enclaves for decades. that weekens us as a community. we are regressing so fast.

Exactly. Our situation is domestic and international. It makes you think at times that niccas are under a curse. But that's falsehood. We need to have access to knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Our people are so conditioned, we won't even come together to open businesses. Damn near every major city has a Chinatown, but where are the cluster of black owned businesses? We don't trust each other, would rather try and kill each other than work together. It's mental and spiritual. Come to oakland, drive from the San Leandro border to the lake on MacArthur or International. Horrific. Man meeting wealthier older black folk on my job, they ALWAYS tell me they acquired wealth from knowledge passed on to them from an older Jewish gentleman. That's happened plenty of times.

and its crazy, NY has at leas 3 huge china towns, Chinatown in manhattan, chinatown in flushing queens, and chinatown BK. and they keep expanding into italian neighborhoods, spanish hoods. just just deeboing everything. we cant seem to even maintain

I'm convinced that if an area is predominantly black and if they are homeowners, try to keep the area black owned and open some businesses. Grocery stores, banks, health clinic, coffee shop, clothing etc. I just wonder if the times are to different now. That's what should have happened in West Oakland.

clearly there was a misunderstanding that the young man was in a corner, on the phone examining what to buy and the
rent a guard was excessively profiling

also there needs to be better cameras, and clearer cameras to properly assess and communicate directly, with store if a situation arises, but more so, communicate to any individual examing a store items in such environment, one Walmart item in the hand, and a phone in the other hand, and a Walmart guard in fantasy lala land on the phone, by with human lifes in an areas of were Walmart goods are sold...the Walmart guard should be tried for attempted murder.

Nor did they seem to be an exchange of words or immediate call for an ambulance.

Also, an cop involved should be sued, doesn't seem they followed protocol, nor do I have an independent apparatus to confirm what exactly is going on the video. Guy walking around the store. Didn't walk in with a weapon.

Also Walmart needs to have clear policy, if need be where such things are examined...the areas seems private...or infront of a clerk more suspicious
