first off this soundtrack is in my top 3 of my favorite albums of all time. i can listen to it at any given time; day or night and keep it on repeat. everything about this album is perfect from the songwritin', to the sequencin', to the arrangements, to the production and so on. curtis mayfield was a brilliant artist with so much talent. this album is the definition of classic in every sense of the word!

I missed the essence of a soundtrack. Superfly pretty much birthed a good portion of 90s hip hop. So many layers on that album its not even funny. Curtis Mayfield was so ahead of his time. Dude started his first album with this shyt:
