If they have a full offseason in 2k17 then real teams could work but I'd probably just rather do current player fantasy in that case.

Man let's start the playoffs tomorrow and get this shyt moving so we can start a new season 
I know it's to make sure everyone has a star player, but I think even without legends decent players are capable of building a winning squad without one. At least you should be. I would rather have to play against a team with let's say Lebron and Klay Thompson than a team with Michael Jordan (who shoots 30 times a game) or a team with Ray Allen, Dennis rodman, Tim hardaway and Michael Finley
