They got me the same way with FF XV

only two final fantasy games I've stopped playing without reaching the end XII and XV

I've played through and beat 1,2 3,4,5,6,7,9,10,13, and most of 14 outside endwalker

I could get through final fantasy 2 and 3 the two worst final fantasy games acording to most people but not 15
Even with all the flashy graphics and newness I still feel like Final fantasy 3 is a more fun game than 15

XIII still has one of the most memorable boss fights to me. Some of the other ones blur together but XIII's was pretty epic you should go back and finish it if you have your save file still available

XIII still has one of the most memorable boss fights to me. Some of the other ones blur together but XIII's was pretty epic you should go back and finish it if you have your save file still available

The ending of 12’s is actually really good also, some big set pieces towards the end with the airships and hi jinks with Vayne. He wasn’t a memorable villain but his end game fight was good.

IX is one of my favorite games but damn do i hate the last like 10 hours of that game

I have the zodiac ps4 re-release I might just pop that in the ps5 and play it. I like that it has the combat speed up option because I don't have time to go and do grinding like that in a game.

With 9 the worst part of that game is like you said the last 10 hours and how slow the combat was. Do the re-released of 9 have a speed up option for combat?

I believe so, but if i were you I’d wait for the rumored remake to jump back into it.

the speed up option made XII one of the goats for me. Like you said the grinding on ps2 made it unbareable but being able to 4x’s forward made the game feel normally paced. That way you don’t have to spend like 10 hours inbetween story.

Also, i still think XII has the best actual world design, another reason im excited for XVI, its pretty much using the same open world
