I’m wearing some ball kicks, but I heard that those aren’t good for squats n deadlifts n shyt.

Was thinking of getting some nike training shoes.

What y’all think, do training shoes make any type of difference or not? And what do y’all wear to the gym footwear wise?

I wouldn’t lift in running shoes. Other than that I wear flat shoes like converse.

On the rare days I do squat heavy, either Chucks or some really cheap takedown Nikes I just love the base of.
Other than that, Js, Brons, KDs, Kobes, Kyries, etc. Whatever catches my eye when I look at my shoe rack.

I have some metcons I got for dirt cheap at the nike outlet and a pair of old chucks.

Don't do a ton running anymore so I'm pretty good with those two. :ehh:

Most running shoes are exclusively intended for running (no good for squats/deadlifts); training shoes are a bit different, some are good for running and others are more so oriented for just general workout stuff.

I really wouldn't do any hard or extending running in some metcons imo.

What about cross trainers? What are they good for?

I put them in the same box as trainers, although you're suppose to be able to run in them more. I honestly would check out the shoe you want and look up reviews for it. :yeshrug:

I do think if you're interested into running a lot, just go ahead and get a pair of good running sneakers:yeshrug:

metcons / romaleos only

I noticed that the romaleos have a big heel, I’m guessing that’s for squatting?

I like the metcons because they remind me of Kobe’s.

Is the big heel really that much of difference maker or nah?

And how do metcons feel?

Romaleos for all weightlifting and metcons for metcon / wod style work.

I prefer them both over the no bull, Reebok or adidas equivalents as far as comfort goes.
